High-power Ni-Cd batteries for diesel locomotive and DMU engine starting, emergency braking, pantograph raising and onboard backup. Cell format and capacity are chosen for the vehicle and climatic conditions.
Technical selection
Selection follows the vehicle duty profile, load current, autonomy, operating temperature, charging system and installation requirements. Battery format, protection, connections and maintenance access are coordinated with the vehicle interfaces.
Maintenance and lifecycle
Inspection, testing and maintenance follow the selected manufacturer’s instructions and site operating procedures. EKA System evaluates installation, commissioning, service access and lifecycle support as part of the project.
