Product description

AGM technology retains the electrolyte in a glass-fibre separator. The valve-regulated design does not require routine water topping-up, but inspection, suitable charging and correct operating conditions remain necessary.

Capacity depends on discharge duration and operating conditions. The C20, C10, C5 and C1 figures must be assessed using their respective test conditions rather than treated as interchangeable ratings. Select the battery against load current, minimum permitted voltage, required autonomy, terminal compatibility and available installation space.

Design life is a classification under stated conditions and is different from a warranty period. Follow the manufacturer instructions for charging, ventilation, installation, storage and periodic checks.

Applications

  • Alarm and security systems
  • Small UPS and battery-backed electronic equipment
  • Communication equipment
  • Emergency support and compatible low-power DC loads
